Dawn Sweatt

Dawn C. Sweatt, an associate with Silicon Valley Law Litigation Group, also works closely with the firm's Real Estate, Corporate and Financial Services Groups.  Ms. Sweatt's civil litigation practice focuses on real property disputes, landlord-tenant matters, brokerage issues, construction lien claims, corporate and financial services and other business related litigation.  Ms. Sweatt has had substantial trial experience and success in her role as a litigator.

Since joining Silicon Valley Law Group, Ms. Sweatt has successfully defended land owners from liens, resolved easement and land use disputes, recovered damages caused by environmental contamination, and resolved several other commercial landlord/tenant matters. Ms. Sweatt has also successfully defended businesses against trade secret and intellectual property claims, resolved owner and partnerships disputes, defended and prosecuted several contract claims, protected lenders' secured interests and defended against lender liability claims.

Prior to joining Silicon Valley Law Group, Ms. Sweatt was an associate attorney with Hansen, Culhane, Kohls, Jones & Sommer in Roseville, California.  Ms. Sweatt was one of only two people selected to participate in a prestigious internship in the California Governors Office of Legal Affairs in 2004.  She also completed internships at the California State Attorney General's Office and the District Attorney's Office where she conducted several jury trials.

Before she became an attorney, Ms. Sweatt was a business development executive in the software and commercial real estate industries, managing and negotiating leases for 560,000 square feet of commercial office space.

Ms. Sweatt graduated with distinction from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Sweatt was the recipient of a Witkin award for academic excellence, received honors in oral advocacy, elected to the Order of The Barristers, and admitted to the Traynor Honor Society.
